Dangerous Goods Awareness Course — 4 Hours
A 4-hour workplace dangerous goods awareness course for staff handling hazardous substances. Covers classification, packaging, transport, and emergencies.
Four-hour workplace dangerous goods awareness course. Designed for any staff member who handles, stores, or transports hazardous substances as part of their role. Builds the baseline knowledge needed to work around dangerous goods safely and within Australian workplace obligations.
Who is this course for?
- Warehouse staff handling dangerous goods
- Transport and logistics operators
- Site supervisors and managers
- Employees working with hazardous substances at any level
What does the 4-hour Dangerous Goods Awareness course cover?
- The nine classes of dangerous goods and how they are identified
- Marking and placarding requirements
- Packing specifications and segregation of incompatible goods
- Storage practices
- Safe transport fundamentals
- Documentation expectations
- Hazchem codes
- Emergency preparedness and first-response basics
How does this differ from the 6-hour course?
The 4-hour course covers the dangerous goods awareness essentials. The 6-hour course adds two further modules: load restraint and chemical spill response. If you only need foundational awareness, the 4-hour version is the right fit; if your team also handles load restraint or spill-response duties, choose the 6-hour version.
How is the course delivered?
Four hours, face-to-face. Delivered at our Arndell Park training centre in NSW or on-site at your workplace. A training manual is included. This is a flat group-fee engagement, not per-seat.
What will I receive at the end?
A workplace-compliance certificate confirming you have completed dangerous goods awareness training. This is workplace-aligned training — not a nationally recognised unit of competency. Completion does not authorise you to drive a vehicle carrying bulk dangerous goods — that requires TLILIC0001, our Dangerous Goods Licence Course.
