Returns and Refunds

This policy applies to physical safety-equipment products purchased from Dangerous Goods Training Centre ("DGTC"). It does not change your rights under the Australian Consumer Law — those rights always apply and cannot be excluded.


Change-of-mind returns

DGTC does not offer change-of-mind returns on safety-equipment products. Please choose carefully, and use the buying guide and the "Is this the right product?" information on each product page, or contact us, if you are unsure before ordering.

This does not affect the rights described below.

Your Australian Consumer Law rights

Under the Australian Consumer Law you have automatic consumer guarantees that cannot be waived. If a product:

  • is faulty or has a defect,
  • is not as described,
  • is not fit for its purpose, or
  • is damaged in transit before it reaches you,

you are entitled to a remedy. For these consumer-guarantee issues:

  • the product is refunded in full, including the original shipping you paid;
  • DGTC arranges or reimburses the cost of returning the item — you are not out of pocket for return freight;
  • no restocking fee applies; and
  • there is no time limit imposed by this policy beyond a reasonable period — a valid consumer-guarantee claim is honoured.

DGTC cannot and will not deny, fee, or time-bar a valid consumer-guarantee claim. More information about your rights is available from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) at https://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/buying-products-and-services/consumer-rights-and-guarantees.

How to lodge a return or refund request

Returns are lodged through your account, not by ad-hoc email, so every request is tracked:

  1. Sign in and go to Your account → Product orders.
  2. Open the relevant order and choose "Request a return / refund".
  3. Select the item(s) and quantity, choose the reason, and add any detail (for example, photos of damage on request).
  4. Submit the request. You will receive an email with a return reference and return instructions. For consumer-guarantee claims, return freight is arranged or reimbursed by DGTC.

Once the returned goods are received and the claim is confirmed, the refund is processed to your original payment method. Refunds typically appear within a few business days depending on your financial institution.

Shipping quotes and cancelled orders

Shipping is quoted after you order, based on your delivery address, and paid separately. If you choose not to proceed with the shipping quote, the order is cancelled and your goods payment is refunded in full automatically — there is no charge for declining a shipping quote.
