Anti-Discrimination, Harassment and Bullying Policy

Dangerous Goods Training Centre Pty Ltd ("DGTC") is committed to providing a training and workplace environment that is free from discrimination, harassment and bullying. This Policy applies to all employees, learners, participants, contractors, clients and visitors.


Discrimination

DGTC does not tolerate any form of discrimination. Every effort is made to ensure that diversity is valued and respected in our services by helping to prevent and eliminate discrimination based on:

  • Race or colour
  • Sex or sexual preference
  • Age
  • Physical or intellectual disability
  • Marital status
  • Family responsibilities
  • Pregnancy
  • Religion
  • Political opinion
  • National extraction or social origin

Harassment

DGTC is committed to providing a training environment free of harassment and upholds the state and federal laws pertaining to harassment.

As in any area of human interaction, the boundaries of what constitutes harassment may vary from person to person. In addition, one individual may have different boundaries for different relationships. It is expected that employees and learners/participants of DGTC will recognise and respect the boundaries set or expressed by others.


Bullying

DGTC does not tolerate any form of bullying. Any incidents of bullying will be dealt with in accordance with our policies and procedures.


Sexual Harassment

DGTC does not tolerate any form of sexual harassment. Any incident of sexual harassment will be dealt with in accordance with our policies and procedures.


Access and Equity

DGTC is committed to access and equity principles. We aim to ensure that our training and assessment services are accessible to all learners regardless of background, and that decisions about enrolment, training and assessment are made on a fair and equitable basis.


Raising a Concern

Any person who believes they have experienced or witnessed discrimination, harassment or bullying is encouraged to raise the matter in accordance with our Complaints and Appeals Policy. Concerns can be raised without fear of retaliation or victimisation.
