TLIA1001
TLIA1001 — Secure Cargo
TLIA1001 Secure cargo — nationally recognised load-restraint training aligned to the NHVR/NTC Load Restraint Guide 2018 and HVNL chain-of-responsibility duties.

One-day nationally recognised, practical course in safely securing cargo and containers for road transport.
Who is this course for?
- Transport workers and logistics staff who hold their TLILIC0001 Dangerous Goods Licence
- Warehouse operators and freight handlers working with dangerous-goods loads
- Anyone involved in packing, loading, or securing cargo in a dangerous-goods context
Do I need any prior qualifications?
Yes — TLIA1001 requires you to already hold TLILIC0001 Licence to Transport Dangerous Goods. The Secure Cargo unit extends that dangerous-goods foundation with focused load-restraint competency.
What does TLIA1001 cover?
Aligned to the Load Restraint Guide 2018 (the heavy-vehicle edition published by the NHVR; the NTC publishes the light-vehicle edition) and the load-restraint duties within the Heavy Vehicle National Law Chain of Responsibility:
- Preparing a load for transport
- Packing, lashing, and unlashing techniques
- Cargo protection during transit
- Cargo identification and compatibility
- Container packing and unpacking
- Load-restraint techniques to recognised performance standards
Does this course let me drive a vehicle carrying bulk dangerous goods?
No. TLIA1001 covers cargo-securement technique. Driving a vehicle carrying dangerous goods above the licensing thresholds is what TLILIC0001 — a prerequisite for this course — authorises.
How is the course delivered?
One day, face-to-face at our Arndell Park training centre in NSW.
What will I receive?
A Statement of Attainment for the unit TLIA1001 — Secure cargo, issued under RTO 90449 (Robinson Education Centre Ltd).
