One-day nationally recognised course for heavy-vehicle drivers operating under a fatigue risk management system. Available face-to-face at Arndell Park, on-site at your premises, or live online via Zoom.
Who is this course for?
- Heavy-vehicle drivers operating under a fatigue risk management system
- Drivers whose operation runs under Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) or Advanced Fatigue Management (AFM) accreditation
- Anyone needing the TLIF0005 unit as evidence of fatigue-management competency
What does the course cover?
Aligned to the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), administered by the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR), and the National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme (NHVAS):
- Fatigue compliance obligations under the HVNL
- The hierarchy of risk control applied to driver fatigue
- Work and rest requirements — under BFM a solo driver may work up to 14 hours in a 24-hour period and must take at least 7 continuous hours of rest in a 24-hour period (the full BFM work-and-rest limits are published by the NHVR — see Useful links)
- Recognising fatigue and managing alertness
- Driver duty-of-care and chain-of-responsibility awareness
Can this course be done online?
Yes — TLIF0005 is currently our only course offered as a live, instructor-led online session via Zoom alongside face-to-face delivery. Same content, same assessment.
How is the course delivered?
One day. Face-to-face at our Arndell Park training centre in NSW, on-site at your premises, or live online via Zoom.

A Statement of Attainment for the unit TLIF0005 — Apply a fatigue risk management system, issued under RTO 90449 (Robinson Education Centre Ltd).
