TLILIC0001
TLILIC0001 — Dangerous Goods Licence
TLILIC0001 prepares drivers for the NSW EPA dangerous goods driver licence under the NSW Dangerous Goods (Road and Rail Transport) Act 2008. Two-day course.

Nationally recognised two-day course (minimum 16 hours of supervised training and assessment) for drivers who must hold a dangerous goods driver licence to transport dangerous goods by road.
Who needs this licence?
In NSW, a dangerous goods driver licence is required if the vehicle is carrying any quantity of dangerous goods in a receptacle with a capacity of more than 500 litres, or a receptacle containing more than 500 kilograms of dangerous goods. The requirement is set by the NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) under the Dangerous Goods (Road and Rail Transport) Act 2008 (NSW) and the Dangerous Goods (Road and Rail Transport) Regulation 2022. Other states and territories have equivalent dangerous goods transport regulators.
What does TLILIC0001 cover?
Delivered against the Australian Code for the Transport of Dangerous Goods by Road & Rail (ADG Code), Edition 7.9:
- Identifying and classifying dangerous goods
- Load segregation, compatibility, and securement
- Vehicle placarding and statutory signage
- Transport documentation
- Emergency response procedures
- Driver duty-of-care responsibilities
How is the course delivered?
Two days, face-to-face, at our Arndell Park training centre in NSW. Course hours 7am–4pm. On-site delivery may be available — contact us.
What will I receive?
A Statement of Attainment for the unit TLILIC0001 — Licence to transport dangerous goods by road, issued under RTO 90449 (Robinson Education Centre Ltd). This is the evidence NSW EPA requires when you apply for or renew your dangerous goods driver licence.
What about the lodgement fee?
The course fee covers training and the Statement of Attainment. A separate licence lodgement fee is paid by the student directly to NSW EPA when the application is submitted — DGTC does not handle this fee and the amount is set by NSW EPA.
